Newbie Stage III metastatic melanoma cancer

Newbie Stage III metastatic melanoma cancer

Postby rowenae on Tue Sep 01, 2009 1:33 pm

Hi
I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago with having a metastatic melanoma with no primary lesion to be found. I have had a total lymph node dissection under my Right arm and an excision of some intransit mets that popped up in 2 weeks on my back as well. If there is anyone out there with a similar experience I would love to chat...
I am 39 years old and fit and healthy and just went to my doctors to ask about some subtle swelling under my arm, no lumps, redness or pain!
Scarey!!!
I have found the cancerhelp.org.uk helpful but avoided all of the others as they incredibly depressing.
Look forward to hearing from someone??!

Hi there
Welcome to the foum. I hope you get some replies here. There is a good site from Australia www.melanomapatients.org which has survivor stories etc which you might like to check out.
All the best
