Hi Ngara
Welcome to the CancerChat forum. I suggest you look at the American Instiitute of Cancer Research's web site. They have recently produced an great online booklet Nutrition for Cancer Survivors. Their basic advice is that once people finish treatment they follow the guidelines for cancer prevention. The emphasis is on increasing the amount of plant-based foods in your daily diet - www.aicr.org - look in the section 'cancer survivors'. Another good site is by dietitian Diana Dyer (who has had breast cancer)www.dianadyermsrd.com

Hi
Yes plant based foods are great and good for you anyway. I have met a wonderful vegetable called comfrey.
It is a deep rooting plant which draws up nutrients from deep within the soil. It grows easily and can be purchased from most plant shops. Boil the leaves and make a tea. I add a bit of marmite, vegemite or beef tea to enhance the flavour. I also eat all vegetables raw in salads by gently pulsing them in my kitchen whizz and putting them all together. It is delicious with a little balsamic vinegar. I eat warmed fish but not cooked.
Flax oil is fantastic too mixed with cottage cheese or yoghurt. Avoid sugar at all costs.
Hope this helps.
