It seems that every day we’re acknowledging a health or social issue with an awareness day or week, even a month. These events are great as they draw our attention to important things we need to keep in mind, to live as healthily as we can.

Take this month of  June for example – in Aotearoa we have Men’s Health Month and Bowel Cancer Awareness month. The Cancer Society keeps abreast of these events mainly through our social media – see our Wellington facebook posts in June https://www.facebook.com/cancersocietywellington/ . Our National Office has highlighted these events as well – https://www.facebook.com/cancersocietyNZ/

You will also find a lot of general information on cancer awareness, as well reducing your risk on our website – see https://wellington.cancernz.org.nz/reducing-cancer-risk/what-you-can-do/

For men’s health information have a look at our website Get the Tools https://www.getthetools.org.nz/
