See the latest Nurses Blog for a summary of our recent workshop – some great info and tips. We’d love to hear of your experiences with insurance.

Do you have to tell your insurance company you have Cancer?

Yes, their forms will ask you to sign saying you have told them the truth and disclosed all relevant information. If you didn’t, and it came to light, I think you may find you aren’t just not covered for the cancer but the rest of your insurance may not be valid.

Hello, sorry to take so long to get your info. I have heard back from the Special Risk insurance company who advises ask when needed. Most policies do not require you to advise the insurer of a change in health, although there are a few which do (this would be in the wording of your policy). If you would like to speak to the person at this company by phone, let me know, as she would be happy to call you.

                Cheers, Anna.
