Yes, their forms will ask you to sign saying you have told them the truth and disclosed all relevant information. If you didn’t, and it came to light, I think you may find you aren’t just not covered for the cancer but the rest of your insurance may not be valid.

Most policies do not require you to advise the insurer of a change in health, although there are a few which do (this would be in the wording of your policy).
